LIFE IS A CANVAS~ MAKE IT COLORFUL!

When thinking of a party theme for Ashlynn's 9th birthday we knew it needed to be colorful, happy and full of creative life. Because that's who she is! : )

We decided to do a Rainbow art party.

 

 

The treats included rice krispy treats made to look like dipped paint brushes! : )

 

The cake with something very special inside....

 

 

Colored sodas and mustache color straws for our guests.

A bounty of colorful candies including a "guess the number" gumball jar for winner to take home!

The birthday girl is ready to celebrate!!!

 

Each guest got a canvas and set of paint brushes.

And finally the "reason" for all the work that went into the party- the priceless expression on Ashlynn's face as her friends sang Happy Birthday before diving into a rainbow filled cake!

Evelyn's Suprise 70th birthday party.

Wow. one of the best parts about photography is witnessing these beautiful moments in time.

These moments when you see and feel love all around. 

This was one of those moments for me.

I loved the anticipation and anxious waiting of her family for her to arrive!

  And the the unmistaken look of shock on Evelyn's face 

when she walked in to see her friends and family all standing in front of her.

I loved watching her soak in the all the love. 

 and seeing the beautiful generations coming together in her honor.

I loved that she was ready to party! ; )

and so were the younger ones!

Somewhere ,along the way, I blinked and my once tiny little girl seems to have turned into an 8 year old before my eyes...

 Ashlynn you are such a delight!!  So full of spunk and love for life.

I loved your idea to take two good friends to lunch and the movies for your birthday!

and oh how I would LOVE to know just what you finally decided to wish for! 

 

 

I love this age because you are still care free..

 

 

But I do get a little sad because I can see how fast you are growing up and someday I know I won't be allowed at the movies with you and your friends. But for now, I feel so happy and blessed to celebrate your day and to sit next to you at the movies and laugh with your friends. THANK YOU FOR BEING BORN ASHLYNN!!
